Happy New Year! Back To Business In Our Brand New Botox Clinic

Well Hello and a Happy New Year to you!

I hope the holidays have been a time of joy and merriment for you whether spent as a raucous season of partying or relaxing at home with family. We closed over the holiday period after a really busy december helping our lovely patients with Botox, dermal fillers and skin peels to look their best for the festivities. We also began creating a new clinic space for the new year with extended clinic hours. Take a look below:

Now Open: The New Relaxing Lumiere MediSpa Skin Clinic in Oxford

For me the break was very much welcomed and it has been a great opportunity for a time of quiet reflection on what a wonderful whirlwind of a year 2018 was and to give thanks to those friends and family who have supported Lumiere Medispa since its conception.

Lumiere MediSpa was established towards the end of 2017 and reaching our one year birthday milestone in November 2018 meant we had firmly planted our feet in Oxfordshire. As a Nurse, my primary skill is not in business but in the care of my patients. When I made the decision to establish my own private skin clinic it was a daunting prospect. What if people don’t come to me for treatments?; can I do it all?; will I go bankrupt in the first three months? Hitting that one year marker meant so much me. It was not so much the milestone itself but the acknowledgment of self belief; self belief that my fundamental skills of caring for people was the most important aspect of running my business, because that is what matters to my patients. Not sales numbers and figures. Not a spreadsheet of social media posts and interaction. Just keeping it real!

So what next for 2019?

Perhaps you think of new year resolutions as a load of old rubbish, or perhaps, like me, you think of it as an opportunity to look at what you learnt the year before and what you want to achieve for the year ahead and make it happen! My new year’s resolutions are:

To look into introducing PRP (Plasma Rich Platelet) treatments for the clinic.

To embark upon a cadaver anatomy course to refresh my knowledge in facial anatomy and injectables.

To extend the availability of clinic opening hours.

…and a personal resolution - to keep work at work and home at home and enjoy my wonderful family!

So what have you learnt from 2018 and do you have a new years resolution? Make a comment below and let us know! Be sure one of them is to maintain your botox treatments more regularly. Only kidding!

Happy New Year

Kindest Regards

Adrian Baker
