No. Dermal fillers are gels of hyaluronic acid that have been stabilised with a chemical to keep it held together and replace biological shape or volume in specific areas of the face. It does not have any regenerative or stumilating benefits.
Structura is a unique hybrid hyaluronic acid gel that has been thermally stabilised (no chemical addition) and is not held together. This allows the product to spread uniformly within the fat pad compartment, where its unique formula stimulates stem cell activity to communicate with fat cells.

You will initially require 2-3 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart. Profhilo Structura requires continuous maintenece with a single top up treatment every 4-6 months. This will be discussed with your practitioner as it depends upon your degree of ageing, fat loss, and lifestyle.

Yes, every medical treatment carries some risks and these will be fully explained during consultation. However you may find it comforting to know that there have never been any significant adverse events recorded for Profhilo Structura and the main side effects being that of potential bruises from the injection site and mild swelling for 1-2 days. You may notice the product sitting under the skin during this time. Many patients comment that it is barely noticable, wherease some state it is defined for a few days.

Yes, and this will be fully discussed and written for you following your treatment. However it may be helpful to know the following:
Do not massage the treatment area. The product will naturally diffuse to where it needs to go over 48 hours.
Avoid physical strain and sports for 24 hours.
Avoid having further cosmetic procedures for 48 hours.
It is not recommended to have sauna or steamy bath for the first few days either.
It’s best to stay out of the sun if any bruising or prolonged swelling occurs.

The effects of Profhilo Structura will usually last around 6 months. As Structura gradually breaks down in the fat layer, your stem cells will no longer be activated and will return to a more sluggish ability, and the fat cells will begin to shrink again.
We advise booking your first single maintenance treatment 6 months from starting your initial course of 2, and then a single treatment every 4-6 months.
